Jesus Prayer (Church Slavonic to English)

The Jesus prayer is prayed by many to encourage a steady inner prayer, thereby assisting people in following apostle Paul's command given to the Thessalonians:

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
                                                                                            1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Lord Jesus Christ,
Son of God,
Have mercy on me a sinner.
